The working paper series has been a part of the activities of the Max Weber Stiftung India Branch Office (MWS IBO) since it was established. The first series was on Poverty Reduction and Policy for the Poor between the State and Private Actors: Education Policy in India since the Nineteenth Century, the first research project of the IBO conducted by a Transnational Research Group. Eleven papers have been published as part of this series. A second working paper series on Education and the Urban in India started in 2018 and was concluded after the publication of fourteen papers.
